Bitumen Information

Bitumen is a mixture of organic liquids that are highly viscous, black, sticky, entirely soluble in carbon disulfide and composed primarily of highly condensed polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
Bitumen is the residual fraction obtained by fractional distillation of crude oil.
It is the heaviest fraction and the one with the highest boiling point. Bitumen is primarily used for paving roads.
Its other uses are for general waterproofing products including the use of bitumen in the production of roofing felt and for sealing flat roofs.
It is also the prime feed stock for petroleum production from tar sands.

In the past, bitumen was used to waterproof boats and even as a coating for buildings. For example, the city of Carthage was easily burnt down due to extensive use of bitumen in construction.
Vessels for the heating of bitumen or bituminous compounds are usually excluded from public liability insurance policies. Bitumen are found also in meteorites, archean rocks, copper, zinc mineralizations, caves.
It is possible that bitumens are primordial material formed during accretion of the earth and reworked by bacteria that eat hydrocarbons.

Certificate of Analysis
We offer a large variety of different grades of bitumen.
This variety includes the following bitumen, all of which are according to the analysis of NIOC (National Iranian Oil company) and approved by S.G.S or any other inspection company.

Bitumen Packing
Over the years, through investment in the most up-to-date handling systems and purpose-built packing, we have now developed systems, which helps us to help our customers.
A key approach has been to focus on Polybag supply over Drum-Packed, or Bulk Shipments, since, as the table above shows, this results in saving time, the consistency of quality, costs and our respect for the environment of mother earth.
By dressing up the approx. 35 kilos Bitumen at melting point with only 150 grams of PolyBag without the fear of leaking. Result : preventing further pollution existed around this commodity for the environment.
